Transition Scout Top Tier Build

Shave pounds off of your trail bike with a Transition Scout Carbon build. The Scout Carbon is offered in two drivetrain options––SRAM GX with RockShox Ultimate suspension or Shimano XT with FOX Performance suspension. Take your pick and saddle up because a bike this light is ready to descend with an unmatched playfulness. The Scout Carbon is ready to air off of jumps and jibs, nimbly navigate chunky descents, and then pedal back up for more. Climbing efficiency is a product of the Scout’s Speed Balanced Geometry, putting you in the perfect position to tackle climbs, confidently crush the downhills, and remain agile in technical terrain.

The Scout Carbon build kits feature ANVL stem, bars, and saddle plus a reputable OneUp dropper.

The Best Transition Scout Value Builds

In the modern mountain biking landscape, a high quality alloy frame is hard to beat. Many pros and seasoned riders opt for alloy frames due to their forgiving nature, inherent durability, and modern technology that makes them competitively light. The Scout Alloy with SRAM’s reputable NX drivetrain is a build that rivals the others in the Scout lineup. Go ahead, opt for the rugged route, the trails with chunky rocks, the mud and grime, because the Scout Alloy NX is up for the challenge.

Offered in Classy Black or Raspberry Red, the colors alone are a compelling reason to choose the Scout Alloy. The Scout Alloy can accommodate a mega seatpost, longer than its carbon siblings, maximizing the ability to get your saddle out of the way on those epically steep rock rolls and descents. The Scout Alloy NX rocks the same frame protection along the chainstay, downtube and seatstay so your bike stays in tip top shape.

If we had to sum up the Transition Scout in one word it is undoubtedly playful. The Scout is a mid-travel trail bike with a classic enduro personality. We all know Transition Bikes likes to party in the woods, so it’s no surprise that the Scout––made by riders, for riders––is a good time on the trail.

GiddyUp Suspension makes it easy to grab your Scout and go without fussing about the suspension set up. This high performing suspension system offers riders consistency and balance with the ability to fine tune the support. The Scout’s liveliness comes from 140mm rear shock with the option to increase to 150mm. A 150mm fork keeps the Scout responsive in rowdy terrain.

Speed Balanced Geometry puts riders in an efficient and responsive position on the Scout. Thanks to the longer reach and seat tube angle, the Scout climbs impressively well. All Scout frames share the same chain stay length, keeping the rear agile and responsive. The Scout rolls on a pair of 27.5” rims with Maxxis Assegai (front) and Minion (rear) tires.

Remember when ‘enduro’ meant pedaly transfers and backcountry downhills? The Scout is perfectly suited for this style of trail riding––comfortable and efficient pedaling performance with an incredibly fun and responsive ride down through corners, loose trails, chunky rock gardens, and of course jumps! The Scout loves to fly.
