Yeti SB160E Top Tier Build

At a glance, 160E T1 build kit looks strikingly similar to the C1––both feature TURQ Series carbon fiber frames, Sixfinity Suspension, with a FOX fork and rear shock. Both weigh 49 pounds. Zoom in and you’ll find the subtle details that make the T1 a top-tier build.

While both build kits feature the same Shimano EP8 motor, the 160E T1 has Shimano’s top-of-the-line XT drivetrain and a Shimano EM9000 crankset, specifically designed for eMTB. Notable features of the crankset include a stiff hollow forged crank that is lightweight and excels at efficient power transfer. A SRAM Reverb AXS seatpost operates via Bluetooth, eliminating a wire from the system and adding to the overall efficiency of the 160E T1.

The 160E T1’s suspension includes an E-tuned FOX Factory 38 Grip, the smoothest, stiffest, most tunable fork with plenty of travel for raging down enduro courses. A FOX Factory Float rear shock rounds out the top-tier FOX options designed by and for factory riders racing at the elite level.

The T1 is the lightest 160E build kit, weighing in just under 50 pounds. It’s all in the details with this fine enduro eMTB build.

Every aspect of the 160E is purposely designed to toe the line at enduro races around the world, including, but not limited to the creme de la creme EDR (aka Enduro World Series/ EWS). Yeti took a notable five years to engineer the “World’s First Race Specific E-MTB” and you can bet it has all the race-worthy features and credibility we expect from Yeti.


The 160E comes in two TURQ build kits––T1 or C1. Both builds are masterfully fast, balanced in pursuit, and poised for podiums. A shorter chainstay on the 29er 160E equates to increased maneuverability plus performance at speed. The 160E Sixfinity suspension system keeps the ride smooth and responsive, no matter how techy the terrain. 


Mirroring the ingenuity of Switch Infinity, Yeti’s futuristic suspension design featured on all of their mountain bikes, Sixfinity accounts for the additional weight and speed of eMTBs. This progressive suspension design on the 160E increases pedaling efficiency while offering an adjustable leverage rate and high-performance tunability.


The 160E is powered by a Shimano EP8 630 wh motor and a Shimano drivetrain––XT on the T1 build or SLX on the C1 build. Both build kits have the option to upgrade to carbon wheels.
