The S-Works Crux is the lightest build in Specialized's lineup of gravel bikes. We'd bet money that most people's off-road cycling shoes weigh more than this bike. The S-Works Crux is constructed with S-Works FACT 12r Carbon frame and fork. Not only is the S-Works Crux incredibly light, but it also performs at an elite level via extensive development with the pros.

The S-Works Crux features a SRAM RED eTap AXS drivetrain, adapted from the lightest, most responsive road cycling groupsets available. Shift effortlessly, never skipping a beat, with smooth electronic shifting. A 10-44 cassette offers plenty of gearing options for undulating country gravel roads and steep alpine climbs.

Roval Terra CLX Disc wheels and 2Bliss Ready Pathfinder Pro tires keep the S-Works Crux rolling smoothly and steadily. The Pathfinder Pro 700 x38mm tires with BlackBelt flat protection are versatile enough for fast-rolling packed gravel or adventurous roads with a little more float.

The Crux Comp offers the most accessible price point with many top-tier components and features of its most expensive counterpart that retails for four times the price.

An uber light weight starts with the Crux Comp's FACT 10r carbon frame construction. Paired with an S-Works FACT 12r Carbon fork, the Crux Comp keeps it light and airy. Rocking the same tires as the top build, the 700x38mm 2Bliss Ready Pathfinder Pro tires and wide-rimmed Aluminum DT Swiss wheels, the Crux Comp is ready to roll through loose, chunky gravel and unexpected mud pits. With tire clearance up to 2.1", the Crux Comp can cater to your riding style, including pavement, singletrack, or cyclocross.

All Crux build kits feature SRAM drivetrains. The Crux Comp features SRAM Rival 1 with a 10-42 cassette, offering plenty of smooth-shifting gear options for your adventurous pursuits.

The airy Specialized Crux has an astonishing frame weight of 725 grams. That’s nearly equivalent to a full bike bottle. Wow! Specialized applied the ingenious Aethos frame advancements to the Crux to create the lightest gravel bike in the world.


And while some of the geometry matches the Aethos road bike––crank length, bar width, reach, and seat tube angle––most of the geometry has been engineered for optimal gravel performance. Overall, the Crux is longer and taller.
