Transition Patrol Top Tier Build

SRAM X0 AXS Eagle Transmission is the newest derailleur to hit the market and this key component elevates the performance of the Patrol with the Carbon X0 AXS buildkit. The Patrol Carbon X0 AXS kit features the ultimate downhill set up, from top to bottom. OneUp Carbon bars pair with an ANVL Swage stem for optimized strength and flex. The Patrol Carbon X0 AXS rocks a premium carbon frame and Speed Balanced Geometry that is chomping at the bit to ride fast and rowdy through gnarly terrain.

The new SRAM X0 AXS drivetrain is a hard-hitters dream, with outstanding durability and a sturdy design to maintain uncompromised performance no matter the conditions. Unlike most drivetrains, the Patrol Carbon’s SRAM X0 AXS drivetrain shifts no matter how hard you’re riding. AXS simplifies the system with electronic control and app access to monitor settings and battery power.

The Patrol Carbon X0 AXS is at home in aggressive terrain while maintaining its inherent playfulness with a mixed wheelset and Schwalbe’s downhill favored tires––Magic Mary and Big Betty. FOX Factory suspension is what the pros are riding and it’s no surprise to find the FOX Float 38 Factory fork and FOX Float X2 Factory shock completing the Patrol Carbon X0 AXS buildkit. With 160mm of travel front and rear plus compatibility for a dual crown fork and/or coil shock, the Patrol Carbon adds ferocity to the gnarliest downhill trails.

The Best Transition Patrol Value Builds

The Patrol Alloy NX buildkit is primed for steep terrain and jaw dropping hits. Bike park bound or big shuttles are ideal stomping grounds for the Patrol Alloy NX with 160mm of front travel from a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 and 160mm of rear travel with the FOX Float X shock. The high performance alloy chassis is forgiving and durable on steep, rough trails and hard hitting rides. It’s impressive to note that the alloy build kits are within ~1 pound of their carbon counterparts.

Although the Patrol Alloy NX ranks as one of the weightier buildkits, it’s an aggressive enduro bike for downhill laps and gravity oriented riding at an approachable price point. Sharing top notch components with the most expensive buildkits, the Patrol Alloy NX features a OneUp Dropper––arguably one of the best in the industry––SRAM cranks, OneUp Bash Guide to keep everything in line, and Schwalbe’s ultimate gravity tires.

The Transition Patrol is a merciless downhill sending machine. Amped up for forest jibs and steep gnarly terrain, the Patrol is perfectly suited for gravity oriented terrain––the bigger, the better. With 160-170mm of dual crown fork-compatible front travel, and 160-170mm of coil chock-compatible rear travel, the Patrol takes charge on steep, rowdy terrain. Favor some air time in your ride? The Patrol is well-equipped to send it at the bike park, too.

In bike eating terrain, a high performance Alloy build is more forgiving and durable, but since 2022, Patrol-ers now have a Carbon build option. Transition is known for their GiddyUp suspension design, giving bikes like the Patrol a ready-to-roll setup that promises the optimal balance of support and bump compliance.

The Transition Patrol features a handful of unique design elements that result in a uniquely playful ride for an aggressive enduro bike. Pivot technology and frame protection ensure the Patrol’s pivot hardware remains tight and critical areas of the frame are protected from rubbish in the trail. Geo adjust chips allow you to adjust the Patrol’s geometry to best suit your riding style. The Patrol incorporates confidence-inspiring Speed Balanced Geometry with a slacker head tube angle to balance the Patrol’s weight distribution. Designed for confident steering, the Patrol is maneuverable at slow speed and stable at high speed.

Business in the front, party in the back––the Patrol rocks a mixed wheelset so you have trail chomping capability with the 29” front wheel and a playful 27.5” rear wheel to whip around.
